Why search and filters matter
As your CRM fills with contacts, companies, opportunities, and tickets, finding the right record quickly saves time. Piraja provides global search (one search box that looks across entities) and filters inside each module so you can narrow lists by name, status, assignee, date, and more.
Global search
How to use it
- Use the global search (often in the top bar or header): type a name, email, or keyword. Results may include Individuals, Organizations, Opportunities, or other entities depending on what's enabled.
- Click a result to open that record. Global search is the fastest way to jump to a contact or company when you know part of the name or email.
Tips
- Search by partial name or email; you don't need the full string.
- If you don't see the entity type you expect, the module may not be enabled or the search scope may be limited. Check your app's search help or contact support at support@piraja.io.
Filters inside each module
Lists are filterable
- In Individuals, Organizations, Opportunities, Tickets, and other list views, use the filter or search controls to narrow the list.
- Common filters: name or email, status or stage, assignee, date range. Apply one or more to see only the records you need.
- Clear filters when you want to see the full list again.
Best practices
- Use global search when you know who or what you're looking for.
- Use module filters when you want a subset (e.g. "my opportunities", "open tickets", "contacts in Norway").
- Keep names and emails up to date so search finds the right records.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I find a contact or company?
The record may be archived or filtered out. Check that you're not applying a filter that excludes it, and look for an "archived" or "all" toggle if the app has one. See Contact or Company Not Found in Search for more.
Does global search look in every module?
Global search typically searches across the entities your business has enabled (e.g. Individuals, Organizations, Opportunities, Tickets). If a module is disabled, its records won't appear in global search.
Can I search by email or phone?
Yes, when the app indexes those fields. Type the email or phone (or part of it) in global search or in the module's search/filter to find the contact or company.
