Step-by-step checks
1. Confirm the integration and module are enabled
- The BRREG and Companies House integrations must be enabled for your business (your business administrator can do this in settings).
- The Organizations module must be enabled, as company search and import happen there. If Organizations is disabled, the search option may not appear at all.
2. Try different search terms
- BRREG (Norway): Try organization number if name search fails (or vice versa). Names must match the registry; try partial or official name as shown in Brønnøysund. Avoid typos; the registry is exact.
- Companies House (UK): Try company number or different name variations. The UK registry may use different naming or abbreviations. Search by number when you have it for the most reliable result.
3. Check for errors and rate limits
- If you see an error message, note the exact text and try again after a short wait. External registries can have rate limits or brief outages.
- If the problem persists, contact support with the exact error message and search term (you can redact sensitive data). That helps distinguish integration issues from registry or network problems.

Frequently asked questions
What data does BRREG / Companies House provide?
Both provide official company name, identification number, and address from the public registry. They do not provide financial statements, ownership details, or historical data in this integration.
Why does search return no results for a company I know exists?

Do I need separate integrations for Norway and UK?
